      Managing Customer Billing Information in Finance, HR or Ops

      • Sending Bills via Email: Yes, it's okay to email billing information to customers because it falls under the "performance of contract" rule. But remember, keep it simple and focused. Don't mix in other non-billing info in the same email.

      • Safety First: When it comes to sharing billing information, your security hat needs to be firmly on. Always confirm that you're talking to the right customer before sharing sensitive information.

      • Our Role as Data Controller: We're the ones responsible for ensuring our third-party payment and billing service providers protect our customers' data. If a customer asks to see their data (also known as a data subject access request), we need to collect any information held by these third parties.

      • Stay Sharp: Keep a watchful eye on the security and data protection procedures of our third-party processors. If something doesn't seem right, don't hesitate to report it to your Data Protection Champion.
